SOLEDAD, Monterey County — October 29, 2026. Students and families planning to visit Hartnell College’s Soledad Education Center for help submitting financial aid forms on Thursday should check the schedule before traveling. The college’s official FAFSA/CADAA Submission Labs page now marks its October 29 Soledad session as canceled.
What changed?
The original Soledad fall schedule listed assistance on selected Thursdays from 3 to 4:45 p.m., with a final walk-in time of 4:15 p.m. The college has specifically marked the October 29 appointment canceled. That means families should not treat the previously listed time as an active walk-in event. The college’s page currently lists November 12 and December 3 as subsequent Soledad dates at the Soledad Education Center, Room 110, subject to later changes.
Where else can people seek help?
Hartnell’s posted fall schedule includes a Salinas Main Campus lab on Mondays, except holidays, through December 7, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., with a 4 p.m. final walk-in. The location is Building B, Student Services, Room B110. The same schedule lists sessions at the Alisal Campus and King City Education Center, but some individual dates are also flagged as canceled, so residents should consult the current calendar instead of assuming every listed session will take place.
The workshops concern applications for federal and California student financial aid, commonly called FAFSA and CADAA. Which application a student should use depends on their individual circumstances and eligibility. This cancellation does not, by itself, change any student’s aid eligibility or application deadline.
Check the official page before departing
For the latest cancellations, listed times, room numbers and any replacement opportunities, use Hartnell College’s official submission lab schedule. Students facing a deadline should contact the college’s financial aid office directly rather than wait for a later drop-in session without confirming their options.
