Soledad Schedules El Mercadito Markets November 7 and 21: Local Vendors, Food and South County Shopping

SOLEDAD, Calif. — October 27, 2026. Soledad’s community marketplace, El Mercadito, is scheduled to return on Saturday, November 7, and Saturday, November 21, giving South Monterey County residents two November opportunities to visit local vendors, food sellers and makers.

The city’s published events calendar lists both markets from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The venue is the downtown César Chávez Park area at 555 Front Street, Soledad, also listed by Monterey County’s destination-marketing organization. Visitors should double-check the city calendar for weather-related changes, holiday adjustments and specific parking or accessibility instructions.

More than a shopping trip

Launched earlier in 2026, El Mercadito was designed as a marketplace for small businesses and entrepreneurs from Soledad and the wider Salinas Valley. The event has brought together food stands, local makers and cultural activities. The lineup can change on each market date, so the earlier appearance of a particular vendor does not establish that business will attend in November.

According to a regional program description, the market is intended to connect South County entrepreneurs with customers while creating an additional place for residents to gather. The fall and winter schedule includes more dates than the original monthly summer schedule.

What small businesses should know

Interested vendors can look for the Farmers Market Vendor Application listing on the City of Soledad website and ask city staff whether applications are being accepted for the specific November dates. Vendor admission, insurance, food permits, stall fees and space availability should be confirmed with organizers rather than assumed.
